Hi Team,

We have observed that the Outlook Send Email Command includes an option to select the email body type as HTML and can send images in the email body by using a html code. As it requires to configure the email account in the respective Runner Machine, we have a concern that any user can access the email account via the runner machine. Hence, due to security reasons, we would prefer not to configure the BOT's account in the Runner Machine.

Kindly assist us to understand that if there is any workaround to send images in the email body by using the Send SMTP Email Command.

Thanks.

Hi Thamali Jayaweera,

Another alternative would be to use the Microsoft 365 commands, these commands allow you to create a remote session using the Microsoft 365 credentials. The advantage of these commands is that it doesn't require an installed Outlook instance on the runner machine, also you can limit permissions from Azure configuration. Please reference this video for more information: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jo2hNebVfa0 Let us know if you have any further inquiries!

Hi Thamali Jayaweera,

Yes, the outlook send email command has an option to send images using html code. Currently, this option is not available for Send SMTP email command. Alternatively, you can send images in the form of attachment. This is a good suggestion and we have considered it already and we would definitely add it in our upcoming release.

Thanks.
