Hello,

I do have a project to grab some simple data on a webpage. I use the Native Browser (Edge) on a Windows OS. It works like a charm when in OpenBots Studio, manually triggered.

but.. when I try to run it unattended via the scheduler, it give me an error on the second step "Native Browser Set Text" (to enter my username on the website). "Invalid browser instance selected!"

Any tips to successfully run a Project via the Schedule Task

Regards from Switzerland

Hello Phil,

Unfortunately, Studio's scheduler does not support unattended automations, only attended automations. So, if the user is not "watching" the automation as it executes, the bot will be unable to run it successfully.

In order to run unattended automations, you would need to run executions through Agent by setting up a Server schedule. We have 2 versions of Server: On-Prem Server and Cloud Server.

Please find more information in the following links: OpenBots Server: OpenBots Cloud Server:

Hallo Nataly, thanks for your quick reply !

I'm using the the Studio's Scheduler. It generates a Windows Schedule Task with a command Line like this :

"C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenBots Inc\OpenBots Studio\OpenBots Studio\OpenBots.Studio.exe" run -f "C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Temp\1\OpenBots Studio\HelloWorld_1.1.0\project.obconfig"

Hello Phil,

I am glad to hear that you have successfully completed a project in OpenBots Studio. Regarding unattended execution, are you employing OpenBots Agent/Server to deploy the automation or Studio's scheduler?
