Missing important features in Studio

Search is not working. I opened the search bar. When the search window is activated, it doesn't highlight the lines correctly. When it does highlight a line, it is not correct. Of course, this is a very important feature that is needed.
I would also like to see:

  1. Find Previous
  2. Find/Replace
  3. Find across all scripts (it appears the current design will only search the active script.)

Other features that are sorely needed:

  1. How to identify variables that are not used. In this case, I have created a variable but no longer are using it in a command. I want to delete variables that are no longer referenced.
  2. Need ability to Expand/Collapse commands. i.e. If/Else/Endif Try/Catch/End Try Loop/End Loop

Hi gsanfilippo,

Of course, every release includes the release notes with the list of new features and fixes. You can find existing release notes through this link: https://openbots.ai/release-notes/

We are targeting the release for the latter half of January, 2023.

Stay tuned!

Thanks Ms. Alvarado for the quick response. I can't wait to see the new Studio. Will there be release notes for new features and fixes? What is the expected release date of Studio v2.0?

Hi gsanfilippo,

Thanks for sharing your feedback and bringing this to our notice. As a growing business, we have always strived to design our products around the latest features and user-friendliness.

  • The Find, Find/Replace feature is in our backlog, and will be included in Studio v2.0.
  • The current Search function is considered a legacy component, this will be refactored in the upcoming Studio version.
  • Note that the ability to update variables while running in debug is currently available in Studio. To update a variable, click on the three dots next to the variable value and enter the updated value in the prompted window

For the remaining items, I will be more than happy to pass your suggestions to our product team. Thanks again for your valuable feedback!

Additional features I'd like to see: Remove all breakpoints in a script (shortcut Ctrl + Shift + B) Remove all breakpoints in a project (shortcut Ctrl + Shift + P)

When running debug. The ability to update a variable.
