We are trying to evaluate the Openbots for health care. Bam! Horse shot right at the gate. Excel will not start. Excel Instance Name/Argument nothin' you type or try works. We assume this product is being dropped from development.

Any ideas? The forum looks dead.

Web IU does not work. Very flawed. Too bad, it looked promising. next.................

In order to create Application Instances, like Excel, Word or Browser, you will need to create a variable or argument of type OBAppInstance to hold its value. You can then use this value to reference the instance both in the script and across scripts.

You can find detailed documentation about OpenBots new features by referencing the versions release notes. For example, here you will find information about Application Instances. Release notes Studio v1.5.0: https://openbots.ai/openbots-studio-v1-5-0-release-notes/

Also, please note that when using any commands on Studio, you can hover over the field names to get a description of what the command does, the variable types each command field accepts and an input sample.

For Web UI automation, we provide Selenium Browser Commands and Chrome Native Browser commands. Please feel free to use the commands within those groups to build your web automations as needed. You can also request a demo to walk you through our features and development pipeline.

Hope this helps!

Is the download version flawed or only a partial?
